W.J.Croy fought in the Civil War,Co. N 38 Regiment Georgia Inf. Captured after the Battle of Gettysburg,held prisoner of war. Was shot in head with a grape shot that cracked the skull,causing him to have epileptic Spasams for the rest of his life. He was married to Aggie Melinda Ashworth.. His daughter was Margarett Jane Croy Hill (my grandma)They had 11 children
