Served in the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War.

Will:
David Willey of Hopewell Twp, York Co, PA to my wife Ann Willey the two small rooms now laid of the storeroom and her choice of one of the rooms on the left in the end next to Baltimore Road, and Betz a girl of color which was lent to Joseph Brooke and that David Willey Junier my son at his own expense is also to give my wife Ann 15 bushels of wheat and corn, 200 weight of pork and 100 weight of beef yearly, one horse, two cows, 6 sheep, and firewood yearly, 1/3 of household furniture to my wife and books with $40 yearly.

To my son David Willey all my Real estate which I now possess excepting 172 acres and 50 perches as may appear on a draft for that same land separately of by David Edgar of a general draft of all my lands that I now will and bequeath lying in Hopewell Twp York Co and part in Hartford County and State of Maryland and joining lands of Thomas Stard, Peter Clinefelter, Widow Martin, Equilla McDonald, and others containing 550 acres of land to the said David Willey.

To my son David my wagon and all the harvest gears, all my farming utensils, one half of my horses, cows, sheep, and hogs, my two stills, all the vessels thereunto belonging apple mill and trough, all my servants Jacob, Dinaugh, Benjamin, and said people of color with the remaining 2/3 of all my household furniture and for the aforesaid property, he provides a sufficient tombstone at his own expense. And the aforementioned excepted land part in PA and part in MD adj. lands of John Bell, Joseph Eithcart, James Duncan to be sold to pay my debts and funeral expenses and to pay to my granddaus. Susannah Brooks $100, Ann Brook $100, Nancy Brook $200.

To my son in law Joseph Brook $20. To my dau. Jenet intermarried to James Eaday 1/3 of money remaining, to my dau. Margret intermarried to David Gemmill 1/3 part of money remaining, to my dau. Mary intermarried to Thomas Baird and to his three children called Ann Nelson, Mary Nelson, and John Nelson the 1/3 part divided among the 4. My wife and friend Robert Gemmill and David Willey to be exec. July 8, 1817. witness Peter Klinefelter, William Gemmill York Co. probated Nov. 11 1817 York Co.
