Katie Schrock Neel
Was born in Table Rock, Nebraska on June 24, 1911, the daughter of Chris & Mary Schrock. She died in Claremont, CA on September 4, 2012; she was 101 years old. Katie is survived by two daughters, Mary (Lewis) Trine of Upland and Janet (Gary) George of Ontario; one sister, Florence Bowen, Lincoln,NE; five grandchildren, Tom Trine of Pasadena, Laurie (Richard) Sandfer of Mission Viejo, Dennis (Debbie) George of Vista, Marcy (David) Powell of Fox Island, WA and Staci (Wendell) Yee of Cupertino. Eight great-grandchildren; Courtney Trine, Brendan and Jordan Sandfer, Matthew and Jacob Powell and Julia, Alyssa and Sophia Yee. She lived in Ontario-Upland area most of her life and lived on a fruit ranch with her husband Hollis. She also worked as a bakery clerk in area bakeries. Hollis died in 1996, he and Katie had been married 67 years. She later moved to the Coy D. Estes Senior Apartments in Upland. Katie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great- grand- mother and was loved and appreciated by her family. Private Services will be held at Bellevue Mausoleum.
