He was born in Yadkin County on July 15, 1929 to Crawley Levi and Phebe Ann Brindle Cave.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, Clyde Cave, Marvin Cave, Rufus Cave, and James E. Cave.
Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Marie Vestal Cave of the home; his children, Eddie (Karen) Cave, Jr. of Yadkinville, Diane (Mike) Robbins of Lewisville, and Clinton (April) Cave of Mocksville; his brothers and sisters, Archie Bell Groce of Yadkinville, Violet Jester and Pansey (Leroy) Speer both of East Bend, Ruby (J.E.) Finney of Jonesville, and Junior (Lana) Cave of Boonville.
The funeral will be conducted Sunday, September 16, at 3:00 p.m. at the Forbush Friends Meeting. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
