1. Two Family records from Ancestry.com put Ruth's death as July 1772. The Second Church of Christ (Rehoboth) records note her death in July 1792, aged 97 (Index of Putnam First Congregational Church Records, typescript, Conn. State Lib., hereafter Putnam Ch. Index, p. 87).
2. Further research into the Weymouth VRs, p. 292, indicates that her actual date of death was Jan. 17, 1795 rather than the July date. In the bio cite this: Vital Records of Weymouth, Massachusetts to the Year 1850, vol. 2, p. 292, "Ruth Joy, wid. Jan. 17, 1795"
