PITTSBURGH - Mervin G. Eppley, 79, of 2710 Crosby Ave., and formerly of Carlisle, died yesterday at St. Clair Hospital.
He was born Nov. 24, 1894, in Carlisle, a son of the late Charles C. and Katie Gutshall Eppley. He was a retired employe (sic) of the Bemis Co., Inc., New York, N.Y.
Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Edna Bagenstose, Pittsburgh.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 a.m. in the Ewing Brothers Funeral Home, 630 S. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. R. Lindsay Ingram, pastor of the First Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday evening from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.
