Norma Blanton Mancari, 75, of Sylvester, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 3, 2012, at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, after a long illness.

She was born October 13, 1936, in Whitesville, a daughter of the late Litchfield and Virtie Brown Blanton.

She attended the Church of God of Prophecy, Sylvester.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Freddie Mancari; and sisters and brothers, Syredah Meadows, Eddie Blanton, Dorothy Clemons, Frances McGhee, Carrie Morrison, Bob Blanton and Linda Blanton Jenkins.

She is survived by a son, Franklin Mike Mancari; special daughter, Teresa Jones; sisters, Maggie Taylor of Seng Creek and Mazella Stover of Middleton, Del.; three grandchildren, Amanda, Jordan and Abigail; several nieces and nephews; and many loved ones.

Funeral service will be held at noon Friday, September 7, at the Church of God of Prophecy, Sylvester, with the Rev. Scott Maynard and the Rev. David Minturn officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Orgas. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, September 6, at the church.

The family would like to offer special thanks to caregiver, Jessie Stover.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hubbard Hospice House.
