ANTHONY 'BILL' DOLE
Anthony "Bill" Doll, 75, died Tuesday, November 15, 1988 in a Wamego hospital.
Mr. Doll farmed several years north of Wamego and later worked 25 years for Kansas Department of Transportation before he retired in 1983.
He was born July 16, 1913, north of Wamego, the son of Louis F. and Matilda Sester Doll, and spent his life in the community.
Mr. Doll was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus, both of Wamego.
He was married to Evelyn Zoeller August 25, 1936, at Flush. She survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Darleen Lashbrook, Dallas, Texas, Clara Asbury, Topeka, and Mary Jo Hoerman, Shreveport, La.; four sons, Bill Doll, Topeka, John Doll, Shawnee, Larry Doll, Leavenworth, and Rick Doll, Wamego; four sisters, Alberta Puhl and Cecilia Mainey, both of Topeka, Louise Eckart, Atchison, and Winifred Eckart, Wamego; a brother, Francis Doll, Wamego; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial was at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Wamego. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard's Catholic Church.
