Married Martha Almeda Clark and had 5 children: Wilfred, Myrna, Audrey, Leroy and Wayne.
Second wife Ingeborg Lunseth married Royal in 1966. They had no children. Uncle Royal passed away July 20, 1979 in Mission, BC and was buried at the Hazelwood cemetery in Abbotsford, BC., next to his first wife Martha. As of June 2023, talking with the City Of Abbotsford re: Hazelwood Cemetery ,Royal's grave site is still unmarked.
