Bio

I recently starting reading Find a Grave postings about my late family members. I hope to add to the wealth of info, being pics etc to add to my family history. I believe everyone being born ,when they pass, it is a responsibility of the family,if they have any still living, or dear friends, to let people know who they were.

Their children, if any , that they are missed dearly by someone. Every body is somebody. I am presently just working on my family and then hope to help others make memorials "special" as these that have passed are special.

My hope is that with my help, my great grandmother's photo albums and my grandmother's albums and the help of my elderly living Mom also a member with fag who has a very good memory of long ago, I can make another family member smile seeing it and remembering of long ago.
My family names close to us are Mercer, Shaver, Bailey, Forsman, Johnson, Bland, McIntyre, Bilton, Kernested, Hunter, McCracken, Hoggins, Hackett, Lundy, Patterson, Corbett, Muxlow, Singer, Duck, Pollon, Iverson, Kasprick, Tabak, Batryn, Hyrmak just to name a few.

I also would like to complete my family's memorials as best I can as I personally see a lot of blank spaces that can be filled my me. Not all, and I am hoping any family member reading one of my memorials if they have any suggestions, additions, comments anything really that will make these people who have passed know that they are missed and thought of often please don't hesitate to contact me.
If you are a family member (or dear friend) of one of my memorials and would like it transferred to you pls don't hesitate as I feel family belongs with family or a friend who knew them.. You can speak for them much better than I can.

For those of the many members here on fag making many memorials pls request a photo of a headstone, marker, anything. It will highly unlikely drop into your lap. No plot number or incorrect plot number, good luck with that unless the cemetery has like 35 people interred there, but i do understand cemeteries not wanting to give up plot#'s to us. At least some of them.
I am now walking the cemeteries as we really cannot have enough people doing it. Yes, it is hard work. Some stones are caked in moss etc and some are hidden under bushes. I like to seek them out as they are ALL to me somebody.
I also enjoy helping with veterans who made us free that are unmarked any way that I can. I am not professional by any means. No, I don't have fancy Handle to my profile just Cindy.
I personally want to thank fag member Alexander who took many headstone photos years ago and made memorials at the Valley View Cemetery in Agassiz, BC. As well The Old Agassiz Cemetery, Kent Cemetery that is a Mountain side literally.

I came along and had many edits. Re-photographing the cemetery. Tons of them, merges etc. He/she cooperated and worked with me and together we added more information and photos of more recent family members who have passed and merged and found older ones as some stone were almost unreadable. I really appreciate that cooperation Alexander. It was a lot of work for you. I have not forgotten there. I will be back.

If I install anything in anyone's memorial whether a pic, document anything that offends you pls contact me so I can get rid of it. I am not here to hurt nor upset anyone. I am here to help in any way possible.

I also want to than all the fag members who work with The Last Post Fund, trying, searching, digging, anyway they can, to make this Vet known to us and yes, get them a headstone . They are somebody and nobody should ever, ever, be unmarked for the sacrifices, hardships, broken marriages, PTSD all of it. We honestly have no idea of what they have endured. These volunteers do their very best to get this Vet a headstone. The work is extreme and some cemeteries are completely uncooperative for plot numbers for these silent souls. This really needs to change.
It is an endless job, hard work, volunteer work because they CARE THAT WE ARE FREE. They appreciate all that they have done for us. No Stone Left Unturned. Hats off to all of you, and what you have accomplished and will continue to forge forward no matter what is in the way, to search for more. It truly is a must. You are all truly a Gift in my eyes.

I only ask that you try to treat these people who have passed with respect and not post a coroner's report. Some as we know are blunt, explicit and nobody needs to read the details that caused this person passing. We should not be here to DEFAME anyone. Have a heart. Don't be heartless.

Enjoy the puzzle and working on a group that is here to make a statement that this person lived, was loved and was missed by somebody and you are making a memorial to memorialize them. They are not to me a statistic, that is printed off and filed in a filing cabinet.

As for pictures all of my headstone pictures that have my name below them are specially marked so if they are duplicated anywhere without my permission, I will see them and only myself will know you have copied them.
If you would like to contact me and explain why you would like a copy. No problem. Please do. My graveyard pics I have walked the cemeteries and taken the photo, so they are not to be copied for fag memorials. Pls contact me.
Yes, I realize they all end up on Ancestry. I am not against Ancestry as it is the sister group to Fag.
Ancestorial trees are only as good as the person making them.
Some graveyard pictures I have personally called the cemetery owner and they huffed it in the cemetery or had someone do it for me.
Either request a photo through the memorial to fag volunteers, which do an incredible, hard job, or you or someone else get them to walk it and take a picture for your memorial.
Before you edit me to death. I know everyone hates suggested edits, but when a cemetery has sat for like 10 yrs , people pass, they need to be merged and well edits are just part of it.
If you notice I have just made a mem and it is empty pls wait for me to try my best in filling in while researching dates etc. Then you can pelt me with them, OK?

OBITUARIES
As per obituaries for one of my memorials. I have no problem with them. BUT I was told personally by Fag Administrators that if I cannot contact the living people in that obituary if they want to be named in a Worldwide Site then to edit the obit.

So, what does that mean? That means Mary had two sons, four grandchildren and one sister still living. No names of the living although, yes, I know everybody does it. I do not. Unless it was like 40 years ago.
So, I hate the Big Red DECLINE button. I will modify it for you or if u can and send through with a suggested edit, that would be wonderful:)

Thank you for your understanding.
