Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2002 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church for Erma M. Welle, 92 of Sauk Centre who died Thursday, May 30, 2002 at Das Goldene Wohnheim in New Munich . Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday after 3:30 p.m. and Monday from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre. Christian Mothers of Our Lady of the Angels and Spring Hill and Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Aid will pray at 7:30 p.m. followed by parish prayers at 8 p.m.

Erma Welle was born on November 8, 1909, in Meire Grove to Joseph and Elizabeth (Deters) Meyer. She married Henry N. Welle on October 29, 1929, at Meire Grove. The couple took over the Welle Family farm from Henry's parents, Hubert & Anna Welle. The farm is located in Section 17 of Spring Hill Township, Stearns County - approximately 1.5 miles northwest of the village of Spring Hill, Minn.

They farmed near Spring Hill until 1960 when they retired and moved to Sauk Centre. She enjoyed gardening, baking and crocheting. She was a member of Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, Our Lady of the Angels Christian Mothers, Spring Hill Christian Mothers and Our Lady of the Angles Catholic Aid.

Erma is survived by her 9 children, Alvin Welle (Lil) of Sauk Centre, Vernon Welle (Jenny) of Spring Hill, James Welle (Bernice) of Spring Hill, Marlene Lieser (Gerald) of Spring Hill, Carol Pelkey (Jerome) of Sauk Centre, Alice Peters (Herb) of Sauk Centre, JoAnn Middendorf (Art) of Sauk Centre, Henry Welle Jr. (Ann) of Winona, David Welle (Marilyn) of Greenwald; brothers and sisters, Regine Illies of New Munich, Evelyn Illies of Elrosa, Pauline Imdieke of Meire Grove, Olivia Schmiesing of Sauk Centre, Francis Meyer (Loretta) of Meire Grove; 44 grandchildren and 95 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry on September 17, 1989; parents; son, Charles Welle; brothers and sisters, Katie Korf, Adella Welle, Hilda Meyer, Henry Meyer and Bernard Meyer.
