PARIS — Nadene Eborn Lutz Sorenson, 66, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2012, at Bear Lake Memorial Hospital from health complications. Nadene was born October 6, 1945, in Montpelier, Idaho, to LeMar and Vesta Hymas Eborn. She was the fourth of five children. Her sisters are Vermilla (Wayne) Transtrum, Elaine (Garth) Carlsen, brother Merlin (Karen) Eborn and a stillborn baby sister.

Nadene grew up in Paris and attended school there. She graduated from Fielding High School in 1963. After high school, Nadene and good friend Sandra attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Nadene married David Fred Lutz on April 17, 1964, in the Logan, Utah Temple. Together they had three children, David Chad, Dana, and Jason E. At the age of 27, Fred lost his life at Monsanto and left Nadene to raise three young children ages 6 months, 3 and 4 years of age. She raised her young family alone for 10 years.

On December 30, 1980, Nadine married DeLoy C. Sorenson. In addition to Nadene's three children DeLoy brought three daughters, Tara, Sherry, and Trice. In 1984, another daughter, Jennifer, was born to this union.

DeLoy and Nadene have always lived in Paris in the big white house under the pine trees. In their 31 years of marriage, they have enjoyed family and friends and many backyard cookouts.

Nadene has worked hard her whole life and has many talents and hobbies. She enjoys canning, gardening, crocheting, sewing, decorating, and crafting. She especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. They are very important to her.

Nadene is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully in her Relief Society, Young Women, and Primary callings as well as others she was called to do.

Nadene is survived by her husband, DeLoy C. Sorenson of Paris; Chad (Tania) Lutz and family, Dana (Jon) Jacobsen and family, Jason (Amy) Lutz and family all of Paris, Jennifer (Tyrel) Phelps and family of Kimberly, Idaho; stepchildren, Tara (Jim) Parker of Ovid, Trice (Phillip) Ward of Bloomington, Sherry Sorenson of Logan, Utah; sister, Vermilla (Wayne) Transtrum of St. Charles and sister-in-law, Karen (Roger) Booth of Shelley. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Fred Lutz, parents, LeMar and Vesta Eborn, sister, Elaine Carlsen, brother, Merlin Eborn, and stillborn baby sister.

Funeral services will be held Monday, July 30, 2012, in the Paris LDS Chapel at noon. Friends may call prior to services from 10 to 11:45 a.m. at the church. There will be a night visitation on Sunday, July 29, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Matthews Mortuary. Interment will be in the Paris Cemetery. Services under the direction of Matthews Mortuary.
