Lexington - Services for Thad Exum Hinnant, 74, will be held at St. Andrews Baptist Church with burial in Woodridge Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Holly Dinkins, Sam Ulmer, Charles Rivers, William Putnam, George Compton, Calvin Ussery, Glen Knight and Jimmy Compton.

The family will receive friends 6:30 - 8:30 p. m. tonight at Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Irmo/St Andrews Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Dr. Kathryn Hinnant Fund at USC, to St. Andrews Baptist Church, or to a charity of choice.

Mr. Hinnant died Saturday, February 28, 1998. Born in Florence, he was a son of Thad B. and Kathleen Hook Hinnant.

He was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church, Spring Valley Rotary Club, former deacon, Mason and Toastmasters.

Surviving are his wife, Jane Cothran Hinnant of Lexington; son, Thad Bryan Hinnant, II of Columbia; daughter, Elizabeth C. Hinen of Chapin; brother, Ernest B. Hinnant of Florence; grandchildren, Jane Ann Hinnant of Columbia, Shaun N. Hinen and Austin Hinen, both of Chapin.

He was preceded in death by daughter, Dr. Kathryn Hinnant Johnson.
