Born December 31, 1899, in Randolph County, Ala., Mrs. Bowen was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Mary Lou Norris Hale.
She had lived in LaGrange most of her life and was retired from Hillside Plant of Callaway Mills company and was a member of First United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Birdy Mae Brand of LaGrange, Mrs. Adelle Hanners of Hogansville, Mrs. Grace Litchfield of Summerville, S.C., and Mrs. Dorothy Burnham of Franklin and Mrs. Jeanette Faust of Marietta; a son, Buford Eugene Bowen of LaGrange; a sister, Mrs. Sally Mae Buchanan of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; 29 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Dalton Hammock and Philip Murray officiating. Burial with be at Hillview Annex Cemetery.
