Dora, as she was always called by the family, was the daughter of James Pendergrass and Nancy Marsh.

She was the eldest of six children born to the family. Dora grew up in Jackson County and lived there until about 1903. When most of the family along with father, mother and siblings moved to Colbert County, Alabama.

Dora married Otto Hyde on December 27, 1903 in South Florence, Colbert County, Alabama. Dora and Otto had eight children born to the marriage; Baby, Walker, Ollie, Homer, Malcolm, Howard, Letha, and Eva.

Mrs. Frankie Josephine Hyde 74- East Mobile Street, Florence died Wednesday at Kelly's Nursing Home, Tuscumbia, Colbert County, Alabama.
A native of Jackson County, Alabama. Widow of Olphis Hyde. Will be buried at Stoney Point Cemetery Survivors include: sons, Walker O. Hyde, Memphis, Tn., Malcolm G. Hyde Florence, Al, and Howard D. Hyde, Florence, Al. Daughter Ollie Slayton Florence Al. Brothers, Jesse J. Pendergrass, James P. Pendergrass of Florence, Al and sister Mrs. L. T. Atcheley.
