Elmer R. Piepenburg, 68, of 211 MacArthur Ave., Brillion, died Friday, June 8, at Bellin Hospital, Green Bay, following a short illness.

He was born Aug. 9, 1910 in Reedsville a son of Otto and Adela Reinke Piepenburg. He and Bernice Fisher of the town of Rantoul were married May 29, 1931. The couple farmed in the town of Rantoul until 1955. He worked at the Brillion Iron Works until 1976, when he retired.

He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, Brillion, was a member of the church choir and taught Sunday school there. He also was a member of the Brillion Senior Citizens.

Surviving are his wife; one daughter; three sons, Kenneth and Roger of Brillion and Eliot of Appleton; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Milton Fischer of Brillion and Mrs. Roy Lau of Manitowoc, and two brothers, Arthur of Chilton and Harold of Reedsburg. He was preceded in death by one grandson and one sister.

Funeral services were held Monday at Faith United Methodist Church, Brillion, with the Rev. Robert Gossert officiating. Burial was in the Brillion Community Cemetery.
