Dora Benway was born at LaRob, Ill, on Sept. 22, 1868 and passed to her eternal rest on Nov. 9th at Litchfield hospital, here she has been a patient for the past three months.
She came to Minnesota, settling in Sherburn, Martin County in the year of 1895. At this place she was united in marriage to A. F. Baumgartner in 1896. To their union were born five children, all of whom survive. For the past seven years the family have made their home on a farm near Dassel.
During the past year, Mrs. Baumgartner has been in failing health. Through out her long illness she bore it with Christian patience and fortitude. She was a woman of fine character, a devoted wife and kind mother. Her pesence will be greatly missed from the home and the community.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband, two daughtaers Miss May Baumgartner and Mrs. Charlotte Storm of Dassel; three sons, Leo of Litchfield, Roy of Eden Valley and Robert of Chicago; her mother and two sisters at Sioux Falls, S.D., one brother at Waseca, Minnesota, one brother at Crescent City, Ill., and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services were held from the Methodist Church Tuesday at 2 p.m., the Rev. James M. burns officiating, and burial in the Litchfield cemetery
Relatives and friends from away were Jacob Baumgartner of Chicago; Mrs. Annie gunn of Sioux Falls, S.D.; Mrs. L. C. Remund and Mr. and Mrs. R. L. Remund of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. N. P. Dewey, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Mahler and Mrs. J. C. Hect of Waseca; Mr. and Mrs. George Cram and son and Mrs. Wm. Gish of Waterbille., Minn., also a large number of friends from Dassel.
