Floyd D. "Chilli" Chilcote

Floyd D. "Chilli" Chilcote, 92, of Bryan and formerly of Perrysburg, died Friday, June 16, 2006, at Hillside Country Living in Bryan.
Born Jan. 22, 1914, at Brewster, to Gertrude (Snavely) and Arthur Chilcote, he married Mary K. Stottlemire on Jan. 22, 1914, in Massilon, and she preceded him in death Jan. 1, 1985.
A 1933 graduate of Orrville High School, he worked as a fireman for Penn-Central Railroad and then began his career in printing as a job printer with Smuckers of Orrville. He worked as a printer for various companies including Radmar Press in Toledo and then for 10 years with The Perrysburg Journal until his retirement.
He was a charter member of Perrysburg Missionary Alliance Church.
A member of Tanglewood Country Club, he was instrumental in designing the first nine holes at Tanglewood and also was a golf instructor.
Surviving are his children, David D. (and wife, Kathy) Chilcote of Tampa, Fla., Ann E. Lively of Maumee, Mrs. Roger (Alice R. ?Becky?) Kime of Bryan and Jon G. (Lana) Chilcote of Milani, Hawaii; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons to be born this summer; son-in-law, Robert (Judy) Wilson; and brothers, Robert and Lester Chilcote.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah E. "Sally" Wilson; brothers, Cletis, Ralph and Melvin; and sisters, May, Eleanor and Mildred.
Visitation will be held today from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. in the Witzler-Shank Funeral Home, 222 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Jon Chilcote to officiate. Burial will be in Fort Meigs Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
