CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Matthew "Mack" Bryant, 62, of White Oak, Chapmanville, departed this life Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Born December 11, 1948, in Whirlwind, he was a son of the late Edward and Bamma Hensley Bryant. Also preceding him in death were his grandparents, Dave and Oma Hensley Bryant and Alex and Oma Smith Hensley; three brothers, Charles, Howard and John Thomas "JT" Bryant; one step-son, David Bryant, and his mother-in-law, Ilean Adams.

Mack enjoyed playing music, singing and Jeep riding.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Greta Bryant; one daughter, Kathy Bryant; three step-daughters, Angie, Dorris Jean and Avonella; two sons, Matthew Jr., and Matthew Eugene Bryant; three step-sons, Glen, Rickey and Danny Bryant; three sisters, Flora (Howard) Booth, Mary Midkiff and Oma Lee (Boyd) Baisden; two brothers, Lester (Anita Kay) Bryant and Eugene (Linda) Bryant; his father-in-law, Otis Adams; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Sunday, February 13, at White Oak Church of Christ with Rev. Manasses Hensley Jr. and Rev. Frankie Frye officiating. Burial will follow in the Hensley Cemetery at Buck Fork of Harts.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.

The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday until time of services Sunday at the church.

Freeman Funeral Home of Chapmanville is in charge of the arrangements.
