Funeral services for Mrs. Edna Elizabeth Reed, 72, who died at 9:25 p.m. Tuesday at Gibson City Community hospital, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at St. Rose Catholic Church at Strawn.
Born June 16, 1901, at Strawn, she was the daughtaer of Eric and Mary Kuntz Gullberg. She married Arthur J. Reed May 6, 1939 at Strawn. He died June 21, 1967.
Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, and five half-brothers. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She was a grade school teacher in country schools in the area for many years and was a cook at the Strawn grade school. She was a member of the St. Rose Altar and Rosary Society and a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Strawn. She was church organist. She also was a member of the Forrest Women's Club.
Visitation is from 2-5 p.m and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Culkin Funeral home in Forrest. Burial will be at St. Rose Cemetey in Strawn. Father Ramon Luckowskie will officiae the funeral.
