Bellevue, NE - Jean Marie Barker, 58, Bellevue, NE, died Monday, May 31, 2010, at Omaha, NE, after a long battle with cancer.
Funeral services will be 10:30 am, Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bryant, SD, with Father Bill Hamak officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Bryant.
Osthus Funeral Home, Bryant, is in charge of arrangements.

She was born Dec. 8, 1951, at Aberdeen, S.D., to Bob and Dolores (Hansen) Barker. She lived at Ipswich, S.D., until 1955, when she moved with her parents to Bryant.
She attended Bryant School and graduated in 1970. She graduated from Northern State College in Aberdeen in 1974. She taught two years at Emery and one year at Harrisburg before going to work for UPS in Sioux Falls and Omaha. She worked for UPS for 30 years and retired in 2007 due to illness.
Survivors include her parents, Bob and Dolores Barker of Bryant; three sisters, Susan (Randy) Holiday of Hayti, S.D., Sharon (Gregg) Nicholas of Dakota Dunes, S.D., and Carol (Eugene) Mack of Castlewood, S.D.; two brothers, Mike (Sue) Barker, and Don (Monica) Barker, all of Bryant; and three special godchildren, Chad Mack, Kelly Clelland, and Ashley Holiday.
