Funeral services for Mrs Mary Ensor Gentry, wife of the Rev O P Gentry, retired Methodist minister of the Tennessee Conference, were held Saturday at the Smyrna Methodist church, Smyrna, Tn. Rev J W Fryer, Pastor, officated.
A native of Baxter, Mrs Gentry was the former Mary Ensor. She was married to Rev Gentry more than 40 years ago. Rev and Mrs Gentry went to Smyrna to live following his retirement.
Mrs Gentry died at her home in Smyrna on Friday following an illness of over 2 years.
Survivors, in addition to the Rev Gentry, include 3 daughters, Mrs Edwin Hoover Jr, Smyrna; Mrs Sam Griffin, Norfolk, Va; Mrs John French Brantley, Nashville; 2 sons, Edward W, Jacksonville, Fl; Donald F, Nashville; mother, Mrs John L Ensor, Baxter; brothers Sam, Detroit; Charles, Robert and Jim, Baxter; sisters Mrs Burch Gentry, Mrs Oliver Maxwell and Miss Ida Ensor, Baxter; half-sister Mrs Jennie Allison, Cookeville; 2 half-brothers, Rev Simon Ensor, Springfield; Rev John O Ensor, Sikeston, Mo.
