1901 – d. 6 Sept. 1990 md 1st Rose Nell Johnson (1900-1958), md 2nd Jean Perters; Frances "Fannie" Dowell Ensor, b. 13 Jun. 1906 – d. 14 Apr. 1967; & Mary Elizabeth Ensor, b. 2 Nov. 1908 md Brice Stone.

Dow Allison Ensor, born in the 11th district of Putnam County, August 5, 1875. Educated in the public schools and Yeargan Select School. Taught school for eight years. Married to Miss Lizzie Rash twenty years ago. Minister of the M. E. Church, South. Mason, Odd Fellow and Knight of Pythias. Mr. Ensor joined the Tennessee Annual Conference of the M. E. Church, South, in 1902. He is known to practically every citizen of the county as a strong advocate of better schools and better citizenship. He is now living on a farm near Cookeville.

Rev Dow Allison Ensor was born in the 11th District of Putnam county August 6, 1875, son of J L & Sarah Evans Ensor. He moved to the 16th District in 1880 and was educated at the Yeargan Select School, Cookeville, taught school in Putnam and Smith counties from 1894-1902. In 1902 he joined the Tennessee Annual Conference of the M E Church South and has held pastorates in Putnam, Jackson, Wilson, DeKalb and Davidson counties. He was pastor for 8 years at Price Memorial Methodist Church, Donelson, Tn, 1914-22.
On November 21, 1899 he married Miss Lizzie Rash of Cookeville.
In addition to his ministerial duties, he operates a large farm near Cookeville on which he resides.
