From the Loudoun Times, June 7, 1923:
Mrs. Rosa B. Case, wife of the late George Case, died suddenly early Sunday evening of acute indigestion at the home of her son, Mr. Wheeler Case of Purcellville, Va.
Mrs. Case was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Snoots of the Morrisonville neighborhood and was fifty-five years of age. Until her marriage she made her home in Morrisonville and received her education in the public schools of Loudoun.
Her death was sudden and a great shock to her many friends and relatives. She was a member of the Lutheran church and much loved by everyone. Her home life was much to be admired, where in her home she had served so willingly the members of her family in a most lovable and efficient manner.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George Hunt of Washington, D.C., and three sons, Messrs. Raymond, Wheeler and Dewey Case, all of Purcellville. Two brothers also survive, Messrs. W.L. Snoots of Purcellville and Charles Snoots of Lovettsville.
Funeral services were conducted Monday morning from the Purcellville Methodist church by Rev. W.J. Whitsell. Interment in Lovettsville Cemetery.
