Katheryn Hoppe, 82, Mandan Villa nursing home, died Dec. 3, 1990, in a Bismarck hospital. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Mandan, with the Rev. Robert Feeney officiating. Burial will be in Mandan Union Cemetery. Visitation begins at 2 pm today at Buehler-Larson Funeral Home, Mandan, where a St. Mary's Verein rosary will be said at 7 tonight.
Katheryn Schaff was born Nov. 17, 1908 at Mandan, where she was raised and educated. She married Henry Hoppe, Feb. 6, 1940, in South Dakota. He died in 1966. She worked at North Dakota State Industrial School for 25 years. She lived at Liberty Heights, Mandan, before she moved to Mandan Villa in 1987.
She is survived by four sisters, Betty Diede and Eva Neff, both of Bismarck, Ann Himmelspach, Tacoma, Wash., and Barbara Heck, Mandan. two brothers, Frank, Tacoma, and Pete, Missoula, Mont.; a special friend, Made1ine Froelich, Mandan; and several nieces and nephews.
