He passed away at the Clarkfield Community Hospital, Clarkfield, Minnesota, September 18, 1957, at the age of 76 years.
Mr. Bestland spent a few years in Canada, where he homesteaded a farm and a few years in California as a railroad worker before returning to Hanley Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Surviving him are two brothers, Oscar and Fred of Hanley Falls; four sisters: Mrs. Caroline Crandall of Minneapolis, Mrs. Mathilda Allen of Fairfax, Minnesota, Mrs. Gertrude Park of Los Angeles, California, and Hannah (Mrs. William Gavin) of Oakland, California.
