She moved to Davenport around 1947. In Davenport, she went to work at the McDonald's Café, and after that, she worked as a Deputy Auditor at the court house. She worked there until her retirement in 1973.
She was the wife of Earl Adair, (died in 1968). She was survived by a son, her brothers, her sister,and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services were led by Rev Jeff Callender of the Davenport Presbyterian Church."
