DOCTOR FULTON DEAD

Benjamin Fulton, an aged and respected physician living near Trafton, fell dead yesterday evening while he was at work in his garden. The cause of his death was heart disease with which he had long been troubled.

Hi wife notified Thos. Jefferson, who immediately came to town to consult Justice of the Peace Davis as to the necessity of holding an inquest, which was deemed unnecessary as the cause of death was apparent.

FUNERAL OF DR. B. FULTON

Dr. Benjamin Fulton who suddenly died of heart disease last Friday evening, June 7, was buried at the Arlington cemetery last Sunday, at 2 o'clock p.m. The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Geo. Frame, and was listened to by a large concourse of people. The pall bearers were A.L. Blair, Hector McKilligan, John Hamilton, Peter McEwin, Ira G. Preston and John Hamilton.

Dr. Benjamin Fulton was born in Massachusetts in the year 1822, being 73 years old. He was a graduate of Harvard College, and had diplomas from two other colleges. He moved to Ohio where he married to a Miss Dixon in 1849. He afterward moved to Iowa, and then to Washington. Dr. Fulton was a man of thorough learning, and a very successful physician. He was the discoverer of a vegetable leniment which was a boom to mankind, though he realized but little from it on account of a lack of capital. The Scientific American gave it a very flattering notice when it was first introduced. this valuable recipe was kept a profound secret by the doctor, and dies with him.

As to the doctor's personal charactor, he was the embodiment of honesty. He would cheerfully deny himself the comfort of life in order to meet his obligations. He leaves his widow a fine farm of 160 acres, free of incumbrances.
