Mrs. Katherine Heroth Scott, 73, widow of Albert Scott, died yesterday, April 1. 1953, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank Van Dycke, 46 Sanders Street , St. Johnsville.

A resident in the McKindley section of the Town of Palatine for 30 years. Mrs. Scott had been with her daughter for 3 months because of illness.

Mrs. Scott was born July 22, 1879, in Coblenz, Germany, the daughter of Frederick and Philippine Wilhelmena Rader Heroth.

She is survived by one son Albert Scott Jr., of Hessville; four daughters, Mrs. Oliver Horning of Johnstown, Mrs.Frank Van Dycke, Mrs. Edward Armstrong of Palatine Bridge, Mrs. Ralph Taylor of Newville; 29 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren ; four brothers, Fred W.Heroth, William Heroth and Jacob Heroth of Fort Plain, R.D. and Henry Heroth of Indian Castle; three sisters, Mrs. James Sullivan of St. Johnsville, Mrs. Angelo Waite of Johnstown and Mrs. Carl Paige of Johnstown, and several nieces and nephews Mrs. Scott was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church of Canajoharie. Buried in Evergreen cemetery, Sand Flats.
