Emmetsburg Democrat, Aug. 21, 1975:
A former Emmetsburg businessman died unexpectedly Monday at Palo Alto County Hospital. Howard S. Richardson, 66, suffered a falal heart attack.
Mr. Richardson was formerly a partner in Jensvold Motor Company from 1950 to 1969. He had been associated with the garage since January of 1945 prior to becoming a partner In the business.
Funeral services will be heid this Thursday at 1:30 p.m. from the Congregational Church with burial In Evergreen cemetery. Rev. Lawrence O. Johnson will officiate.
Howard S. Richardson was born Dec. 15, 1908, in Emmetsburg, the son of W. C. and Sadie (Starr) Richardson. He married Rosemary Johnson June 4, 1935, in Spencer.
Richardson was one of the leading Emmetsburg golfers for many years and still enjoyed a game of golf nearly every day at the Emmetsburg course. He also
took part assisting in golf programs for city youth.
Survivors Include his wife, Rosemary; two brothers, Clyde of Emmetshurg, Charles William of Nashville, Tenn., and one slster, Mrs. A. V. (Hazel) Bauck
of Emmetsburg.
