Sarah L. Greer Anderson, 66, of Canton, formerly of Holly Springs and Chicago, Ill., died March 8, 2010 at St. Dominique Hospital in Jackson. She was a member of Apostolic Church in Chicago and a retired postal worker.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on March 13 at Hopewell No. 1 MB Church. Burial was in Bowens Cemetery. Rev. Dwight Rucker officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Nathaniel Anderson; stepchildren, Reginal, Tionna, Nathaniel, Nathalie; three sisters, Rena Thigpen of Memphis, Tenn., Ruth Rashada of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Helen Anderson of Chicago; three brothers, Sammie Greer, Charles, Rucker, both of Holly Springs, Arthur Greer of Caledonia; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Green.

Pallbearers were Craig Greer, Cornelius Greer, Samuel Green, Charles Preston, Terry Boga, Terry Greer, Jerry Rucker and Nate Anderson. Honorary pallbearers were Arthur Greer, Sammie Greer, Charles Rucker and Nathaniel Anderson.
