DARIS SAMPSON DIED WEDNESDAY


The death of Daris D. Sampson, 36, who died unexpectedly at his Reedsville, Rt 1 home Wednesday afternoon, was attributed to a heart attack.

Born in West Virginia, Mr. Sampson was preceded in death by his parents, Hurdle D. Sampson and Estel Groggs, and a brother, David, who was killed in an auto accident when he was seven years old.

Mr. Sampson a Marine Corps vetern of the Korean Conflict belonged to the Disabled American Veterns (DAV) in Pomeroy.

Survivors are his wife, Beverly Linticum Sampson; three daughters, Shelia, Brenda and Lena, all at home; five sisters, Mrs Glady Barton, Coolville, Rt 2; Mrs Margie Benedum, Reedsville, Rt. 1; Mrs Anna Weekley, Guysville Rt. 1; Mrs Ida Mae Spradlin, Prestonburg, Ky. and Mrs Carolyn Smith, Mansfield,Ohio; a brother Rick Sampson, Coolville Rt 2, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Satuday at the White Funeral Home in Coolville with the Rev. Arlie Marks officiating. Burial will be in the Eden Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Friday.
