Nichols - Minnette Harrelson Hill, 79, formerly of Cades passed away Monday, October 11, 2010 at her residence after an extended illness.
She was born in Horry County to the late Harmon and Minnie Pridgen Harrelson. She was a homemaker and a member of Cades Baptist Church. Mrs. Hill served as a loving foster mother for many children through the years.
She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Douglas Hill; a granddaughter, Jennifer Marie Huggins; two brothers, Woodrow and Winston Harrelson, and two sisters, Edna Tyler and Evon Phillips.
She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Harvey Eldon Hill; two sons, Jeffrey Darryl (Angela) Hill of Hemingway and Daniel Eldon (Janet) Hill of Lake City; two daughters, Cynthia Hill (Mitch) Fry of Herndon, VA and Barbara Hill Huggins of Nichols; one brother, Doris (Vernell) Harrelson of Tab-or City, N.C.; two sisters, Elise Roberts of Marion and Peggy Clemmons of Green Sea; eleven grandchildren; two great-grand-children and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at Cedar Creek Cemetery in Nichols. Memorials may be made to Cedar Creek Cemetery Fund, 521 Willoughby Road, Nichols, S.C. 29581. Messages of condolence for the family may be left at mearesfh.com
