John T. Munson
John Thomas Munson, 84, life-long resident of the Little York community passed away at 2 o'clock yesterday afternoon at his home in Little York. His health had failed rapidly during the past few weeks but he had been bed-fast only a few days.
Mr. Munson was the son of William and Phoebe (Scull) Munson and was born in the Pleasant Green community southwest of Little York on March 22, 1857. He married Lucy Imogene Scovill and with her celebrated their 50th anniversary last September. He was a member of the Little York Methodist church.
Surviving with the widow are the following children: Lee Munson, Viola, Mrs. Grace Morris, Millersburg, Mrs. Della Perry and J. Edward Munson, Monmouth, Mrs. Mary L. Brown, Leslie S. Clifford, Mrs. Mildred Salmons and Mrs. Frances Kinney, Little York, Mrs. Daisie Dowdell, Weston, MO., Mrs. Nellie Scovill, Viola. Mr. Munson also leaves one half sister, Mrs. Charles S. Fletcher of this city.
Funeral services are to be held at the Methodist church in Little York at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in charge of the Pastor, the Rev. Donald Lemkau. Burial will be made in the Little York cemetery. The body will be taken from the Holiday-McKnight Funeral Home this afternoon to the Munson home in Little York.
