William Henry Munson was son of William Munson and Phebe (Scull) Munson, Morehead, Allen. He married Martha Helen Johnson d/o Lorenzo D. Johnson and Catherine Munson on 19 Feb. 1866 Warren Co., IL.

Wm. H. Munson died at his home in Oakville last Saturday after a lingering illness. The funeral was held on Monday. Mr. Munson was born in Henderson County, Ill., September 18, 1849, where he lived till the year 1898. From there he moved to Oakville, IA., where he lived until the end came, Saturday night, Dec. 14, 1907, 11:45 o'clock. He was married to Martha H. Johnson in 1866. To this union were born thirteen children, of whom twelve are living. They are: Mary A. Herr, W.D. Munson, Fairy A. Garard, Benjamin M. Munson, Dosha H. Yodder, Agnes D. Coleman, James C. Munson, Signa E. Hall, Mamie E. and Trixie G. Munson. Besides his wife and children, Mr. Munson leaves three brothers George M., Isaac L., and John L. Munson, one sister, Mary J. Hood and one half sister, Minnie Young.
