Judy Godwin Cothren 59, of Wilmington died Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010. She was born November 9, 1950 in New Hanover County, the daughter of Margaret Jeanette Godwin of Bolton and the late James Parks Godwin, Sr. She was a member of Bolton Baptist Church. She was a retired sales manager with the Hilton Hotels and was previously employed by Federal Paper Board. She was a graduate of Hallsboro High School. She is survived by her mother; Margaret Barwick Godwin; two daughters, Wendi Dawn Duncan and husband, Kyle of Whiteville and Heidi DeAnne Walker of Wilmington; two sisters, Margaret Elaine Caison of Winnabow and Sandra Renee Rawls and husband, Charlie of Whiteville; a brother, James (Jamie) Parks Godwin, Jr. and wife, Jennifer of Whiteville; four grandchildren, Ashley Todd and husband, Christopher, Jonathan Walker, Kayla Inman, Zachery Inman; two great grandchildren, Brena and Cheyenne Todd. Her funeral service will be conducted 3:00 pm Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Bolton Baptist Church by Rev. Kenneth Benton. Interment will be in Peacock's Columbus Memorial Park.
