Elisabeth Anne is the daughter of Francis Benjamin and Mary Agnes MOORE Hudson. Born in Bayou Sale, they called her Betty all her life. She had several siblings and half siblings and they are:

Emma Gertrude Hudson 1869 – 1932
Easton Moore Hudson 1870 – 1920
Caroline Babette "Carrie" Hudson 1871 – 1955
Charles Warton Hudson 1873 – 1946
Mary Agnes Hudson 1874 – 1880
Percy James Hudson 1875 – 1953
Howard Thompson Hudson 1877 – BEF 1880
Stanley Duvall Hudson 1879 – AFT 1882
.....Half Siblings
Murphy Foster Sr. Hudson Judge 1892 – 1942
Alva Sinclair Hudson 1894 – 1972
Richard Irving Hudson 1896 – 1958

She studied to be a "Trained Nurse" and worked at a hospital in New Orleans for several years. Then on 7 Jun 1931, she married Joseph W. Lyman. They lived in New Orleans for a while before moving to Hammond. Sadly, Joseph died in 1941, after only 10 years of marriage. He preceded Betty by about 9 years and they are laid to rest together. Betty is my grand aunt.

Betty died at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans at 7:30 pm, 7 Jul 1950. She was 71 years old.

Rest and be at peace aunt Betty.....
