Monroe returned to Shelby county three years ago after residing in Decatur county for some time. Prior to that he served as general manager of the International Minerals
and Chemicals Company in Lockland,O., for several years. His parents were Alfred and Mary Ellen Monroe. On October 2, 1920, he was married to Marian Zelma Wheeler who survives with a sister and three brothers, Mrs. Raymond Calender of Greensburg, John Monroe of near this city and Irvin and Paul Monroe of Indianapolis. Two brothers preceded in death. There are several nieces and nephews surviving. Mr. Monroe was a member of the Waldron Masonic Lodge and the Greensburg Presbyterian Church. His funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Carmony Funeral Home in St. Paul. The Rev. Phillip Hodgen will officiate and burial will be in the Winchester cemetery. Friends may
call at the funeral home Thursday afternoon and evening between 2:00 and 4:00 and 7:00 and 9:00 o'clock.
