Noah Hunt was born in Davie county, North Carolina, Feb. 20,1831, died Sunday morning, Nov. 22, 1908. He came to Missouri with his parents when eleven years of age, and to Jackson County a few months later.
He was married to Miss Nancy E. Cave Aug. 28, 1851, and to this union twelve children were born. On March 7, 1879 his wife died, and on Sep. 13, 1880 he was married again to Mrs. James R. Travis. He united with the Baptist church here in the fall time of 1852 under the ministry of Rev. Henry Farmer and in 1866 he was ordained as a deacon. He has served as moderator for more than 30 years and as trustee for nearly as long. His life was an example of christian consistancy at all times, a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, a true friend and was a benediction to every one with whom he had any interaction whatever.
