Beverly J. Callear, 86, of Sayre, Pa., passed away on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 at home following a period of declining health.
She was born on March 6, 1926 in Johnson City, N.Y. the daughter of the late Floyd and Alta Robinson Parks.
Beverly was a member of the Athens United Methodist Church and the Athens United Methodist Women. She worked at Athens Agway. A volunteer at the Gift Shop at Robert Packer Hospital, Beverly enjoyed spending time with her family and reading. She was a 1944 graduate of Athens Area High School. In 2009, Gerald and Beverly celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.
She is predeceased by her husband Gerald in 2009.
Beverly is survived by her children Diane C. and James Sidey of Athens, Pa. and Dale and Cindy Lu Callear of Athens, Pa.; grandchildren Shawn and Carrie Sidey, Patrick and Kelli Sidey and Erin Sidey Miller and her fiancé Jay Dubina; grandpuppies Dusty and Barclay Callear; great-grandchildren Autumn, Connor and Brie Sidey and Abbie Jane Miller; brother Daryl Parks; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012 at the Jay E. Lowery Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 225 South Main St., Athens, Pa. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 20, 2012 at the Athens United Methodist Church with the Rev. Andrew Weidner officiating.
Burial will be in Tioga Point Cemetery.
