Bruce Davidson Cohick, 90, of Newville died Monday, March 7, 2011, at his home.
He was born Oct. 12, 1920, in Newville, the son of the late Asper G. and Nora Gayman Cohick.
Mr. Cohick is survived by his loving wife, Lois K. Sheaffer Cohick.
He was a farmer, which he loved doing, and still continued with a herd of sheep.
He was a loving husband and father.
Mr. Cohick was a member of Newville Church of the Brethren, where he had been the church treasurer and a deacon and sang in the choir.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Susan Martin and her husband, James, of Newville; one son, Dr. Bruce S. Cohick, MD, and his wife, Lisa, of Harrisburg; and five grandchildren, Aaron Martin, Andrew Martin, Evan Cohick, Eileen Cohick and Lauren Forrest.
A viewing will be held Friday from 1 to 2 p.m. at Newville Church of the Brethren, 16 Carlisle Road, Newville.
The funeral service will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. John Hess officiating. Burial will follow in Newville Cemetery.
