She was born March 1, 1930 in Carlisle the daughter of J. Ralph and Hattie Sheaffer. Mrs. Cohick is preceded in death by her husband Bruce D. Cohick.
She had worked as an LPN at the Carlisle Hospital.She belonged to the Newville Church of the Brethren, where she was a Deacon, taught Sunday School, sang in the Choir, and belonged to the Women's Fellowship. She also belonged to the Farm Women's Group.
Mrs. Cohick is survived by one daughter Susan Martin and her husband James of Newville, one son Dr. Bruce S. Cohick and his wife Lisa of Harrisburg, five grandchildren Aaron and Andrew Martin, Evan Cohick, Eileen White, and Lauren Forrest; and five great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters.
A viewing will be held Saturday, February 28, 2015, from 9 to 10 AM in the Newville Church of the Brethren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 AM in the Church with the Pastor John F. Hess officiating. Burial will follow in the Newville Cemetery.
