Robbie Barbara (Murry) Cox, 82, of Pecos, died Monday evening, August 6, 2012.
Robbie was born December 15, 1929, to Hillary and Lily Murry. She was a 1947 graduate of Jonesboro High School. She was married December 20, 1947, to Clarence Cox, they moved shortly after to Pecos, Texas, where she resided for 63 years.
Robbie worked as the soda fountain manager of the Pecos Woolworth for 28 years. She and her husband, Clarence, were founding members of the North Temple Baptist Church of Pecos. Over the years, Robbie was a member of Woman's Missionary Union, assisted with Vacation Bible Schools and the local food bank and prepared many peach cobblers, banana puddings and pecan pies.
Robbie is survived by two sons, Douglas Cox of Brownfield, TX, and Cloyce (Curly) and spouse, Trissa Cox, of May, TX; a sister, Reva Whisenhunt of Forney, TX; 7 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; three brothers; her husband, Clarence; her daughter, Lois; and a granddaughter.
A memorial service was held Thursday, August 9, at 2 p.m. at the North Temple Baptist Church of Pecos with Pastors L.H. Woodard and Jim Salisbury officiating.
A graveside service will be held today (Saturday), August 11, at 11 a.m. at the Levita Cemetery in Levita, TX.

Services are under the direction of Pecos Funeral Home.
