Engagements: Offensive: Meuse-Argonne. Defensive Sectors: Gerardmer (Alsace); Grange-le-Comte (Lorraine). Died in Base Hospital No. 66, at Neufchateau, France, on Oct. 1, 1918, of wounds received in action. Buried in Grave 59, American Cemetery, Neufchateau, France; remains returned to U. S. on May 31, 1921, and consigned to Xavier Brasseur, Dunseith, N. Dak.
