Mr. Smith was born in Lowell, April 23, 1875, son of the late William and Emma Brown Smith. He came to Rome when a young man, his parents conducting a farm on Floyd Ave.
He was married Nov. 14, 1900 to Gertrude Ada Bingham of Rome and all of his married life had been spent in Rome.
He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. C.J. Stahlberger, Ridge Mills; one brother, Gordon P. Smith, Oneida; a grandson, William C. Stahlberger, Ridge Mills, also several nieces and nephews. Rome Daily Sentinel, Wednesday Evening, July 14, 1937
