Lena S. Waltimyer, 69, of Duncannon, passed away on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at the Community General Osteopathic Hospital, Harrisburg.
She was born on July 16, 1943 in Mechanicsburg, PA to the late Roy F. and Naomi N. (Nace) Spangler.
Lena was retired from the Perry County Times as the circulation manager.
She was a member of Dellville United Methodist Church; she enjoyed gardening, sewing and her grandsons.
Surviving are her husband Larry R. Waltimyer, her son David R. Waltimyer and his wife Ellen of New Fairfield, CT, her two daughters Carole L. Waltimyer of Duncannon, Susan M. (Waltimyer) Goodling and her husband Stacey of Marysville, her two brothers George I. Spangler and his wife Gerry of Newville, Galen R. Spangler and his wife Julie of Phoenix, AZ, her two sisters Jeanne C. Spangler of Middletown, Carolyn S. Jacobs of Dallastown, her four grandsons Jacob D. Goodling, John D. Goodling, Joseph M. Goodling and William R. Waltimyer.
Funeral services will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 18, 2012 in Dellville United Methodist Church, with Rev. Kurt V. Herzberg officiating. Burial will be in Dellville United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Viewings will be from 6pm until 8pm on Friday, August 17, 2012 and from 10am until 11am on Saturday, August 18, 2012 in the church.
Arrangements are being handled by the Ronald C.L. Smith Funeral Home, Duncannon.
