LESTER BELCHER

August 18, 1891 ~ June 21, 1969


Lester Belcher died Saturday at 5:25 a.m. in Valiant.


He was born Aug. 18, 1891, in Titus County, Tex. He had lived in Valliant for the past 27 years, moving from Talco, Tex. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Baptist Church.


He is survived by his widow, Bessie; three sons, Floyd Belcher of Mt. Pleasant, Tex., Frebert Belcher of Sherman, Tex., and David Belcher of Jacksonville, Ill.; one daughter, Mrs. W. A. Cabell of Hawkins, Tex.; two brothers, Jim Belcher and Moody, both of Talco, Tex.; twelve grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.


Funeraql services were at 2 p.m. Monday at the Pilgrim Baptist Church near Valliant.


Interment was in the Moran cemetery near Valliant.
