Emma Lena Weinberg Sherrill age 78, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 in a local hospital. A Graveside service will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 17 in Grove Hill Cemetery, directed by Belk Funeral Home.

Born March 17, 1934 in Darlington County, she was the daughter of the late Thad and Lena Mae Suggs Weinberg Sr. Emma Lena worked at Thad Weinberg's Sausage for most of her life and enjoyed playing Canasta and was a member of the Canasta Queens. Mrs. Sherrill was a member of First Baptist church, the Joy Sunday School Class and the Annie Lee Flowers Circle.

Surviving is her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Pam Sherrill, her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Gillie Revell all of Darlington, four grandchildren: Casey (Andy) Rheuark, Ramsey Sherrill, Gillie Revell, Garrett Revell; a great grandson, Blaze Rheuark, a sister, Peggy (Don) Ruthven, a brother, Billy (Carol) Weinberg, sister-in-law, Helen Moody, and a friend as close as a sister, Jean (Jimmy) Blackmon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Sherrill.

The family would like to thank her caregiver Jenny for her wonderful care.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 Thursday, August 16 at the funeral home and other times at the home 113 North Springville Rd. Darlington
