CORRELL REUNION PLANNED
John and Sam Correll, brothers living in North Carolina, decided they needed to “go West Young Man.” They arrived in Crawford County in 1818. John and Mary Ann Correll settled one mile north of Trimble and 1/2 mile west of what is now called Mt. Ephriam. John Correll burned the brick for his house, later passing that gift on to his sons and grandsons. The Correll Brick Factory was located in three different places near that area.
Early Corrells were instrumental in building of the Trimble School and the Trimble Church. All Corrells may attend church service on Sunday, Aug. 14, at the Trimble Church, on east side of Illinois St. Highway 1, in Trimble. Sunday school begins at 9:30 a.m. with church beginning at 10:30 a.m.
The Correll family reunion is 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at the Leaverton Park, Palestine. Take a dish and table service.
