Services will be conducted by Rev. Darrell Williams, pastor of the Southmayd Baptist Church with burial at the Enterprise Cemetery.
Mr Blakley was born Aug. 23, 1893 in Kentucky. the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bradford N.Blakley. He was married to the former Ester Cleveland on Dec. 26, 1915 at Sherman and she preceded him in death on March 1,1948. He had been a resident of the Pottsboro area since coming to Texas in 1903.He was a carpenter all of his working life prior to retirement several years ago. He had been making his home at a local nursing home for about one year. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are one son, Leo Blakley of Sylmar, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Floyd H. Smith of route 3, Sherman and Mrs. Orville Smith of route 1 Sherman; two sisters, Mrs. Rosa Wilson of Route 3 , Sherman and Mrs. Walter Jones of Denison: 18 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will be at the Waldo Funeral Home from 7 to 8 pm Tuesday and at other times at the FLoyd H. Smith residence, Route 3 Sherman.
